Meetup Description

Travis Derouin, cofounder and lead engineer at wikiHow, will give a walk through the wikiHow website, a brief history and technological overview.

wikiHow, launched in January, 2005, has a collection of about 57,000 articles and receives 16 million unique visitors a month. All of wikiHow content is licensed under a creative commons license.

In addition, some of the challenges experienced by the community, growing the wiki, working in a small, remotely distributed organization and the benefits of a hybrid business model will be discussed.
