Lots of good information from very knowledgeable panel speakers!

It was great to be reminded that there is a world of strategy, key performance indicators and metrics out there. Thanks for a lively, well informed panel presentation, followed by some long overdue silliness! Much as I love to sing, though, it's probably not THE direction . . . !

Lots of food for thought from our panel discussion. I like hearing different perspectives on the same subject, and finding the common threads amongst them. McMaster is in KM infancy (maybe even pre-natal?), so discussions such as this are very informative. I now have lots of good issues to raise and questions to ask as we grow. Rockband was a blast. Many thanks to Martin for setting it all up.

Thanks to everyone for participating in our discussion, and a HUGE thanks to Martin for bringing along Rock Band. I'm thinking of quitting my day job to become a rock star! :)

Great evening - thanks to all who attended and asked questions of the panel, and an even bigger thanks to Martin for bringing his Rock Band on tour !! Sadly it is now confirmed that not only am I tone deaf and unable sing a note, but I really can't play drums either........ :-(

For me the topics we squeezed in at the end where what were the most interesting. It's always good to hear what currently interests a KM guru like Douglas. The piece on Knowledge Cafes did not provide any value for me at all. As a KM practitioner I've been there and done that....long time ago actually. Having said that, I can understand his wanting to give the KWT network something practical that we can use ourselves as a learning and networking tool.

Very good session from Douglas, not what I was expecting, but useful and interesting nontheless :-)

I would have gotten more enjoyment from a narrower scope (or a single topic) covered more thoroughly.

Lots of interesting material and great discussions. Great opportunity now for us to build on the success of our Meetups by introducing some Knowledge Café concepts.

Not as advertised; I was looking forward to hearing Douglas Weidner speak about "KM Principles, Modern KM Methodologies, Barriers to KM Implementation."

The model fills a perpetual need of KM, which has been long overdue. Since I did not attend the first part, it took a bit of time to assimilate. But I thought the concept was brilliant. I hope there would be a sequel to `part 2` exemplifying the model in a “real-life” context – because a practical example (e.g. a tool or an implementation example) would help visualizing the operationalization of the model. I am glad I attended!

Bravo Paul! Great insights, great discussion. The conversations continued well after the presentation, always a good sign of a great meetup.

Paul presented complex ideas in an easy to understand way. I'm now anxious to to bring those concepts back to my own firm! The discussion generated after the event was also useful. I look forward to attending more KWT events.

I found the Bryan's thesis that we should reward innovation rather obvious. Isn't this the basic foundation of capitalism? People innovate and aspire to higher goals for the most part driven by financial reward. This is why capitalism has succeeded and other models like socialism/communisim have failed. I felt Bryan could have polished his presentation, it seemed to drift off on tangents.

interesting topic but presentation meandered and didn't get to any real meat. overall - disappointed.

This was great, I have a much better understanding of this concept and the activities that go with it!

This was perfect content for me. I liked that Bryan maintained his focus on relating the significance of market forms of knowledge sharing.

That was great for me because, first, I had the opportunity to meet people from the information arena for I am new in Toronto and I work solo at my home. Second, was a cool way to refresh my insights in my profession... specially now that I am expanding my business in some new directions. Thirdm, I got to meet Ula and the group organizers. Ula presentation put in perspective different reasons to be a librarian! Today, I went to the Toronto Green Living Show to attend the forum ^The Greening of Canada~s Resource-based Economy. Is it Possible^ and for the first time I heard of this ocuppation title Sustainability Officer.... in my mind it is a KM position as well... Thank you very much for providing such meeting. It was re-freshing...

Ulla did a great job sharing her thoughts about how to best position yourself as an information professional in the multidisciplinary industry of Knowledge Management. She did an excellent job of moderating discussions. Overall, it was a good opportunity to network with other interested KMers.
